What is most inspiring about shooting weddings in Colorado?
"Colorado is an amazing destination for weddings because of the natural beauty that compliments the magnitude and importance of a wedding day. Whether our couples are local Coloradians inspired by where they live or seasonal visitors that vacation here, the state provides a sense of escape from ordinary life. We love watching wedding guests as they stare at the beauty that surrounds them. I can't help but think it makes everyone more grateful and present. Obviously we love capturing portraits in the stunning landscapes and chasing Colorados beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We also enjoy capturing the vibe of a Colorado wedding through telling the stories of the experience. We love celebrating love in extraordinary places."
What is your favorite part of working with a couple on their wedding day?
"Our favorite part of working with a couple on their wedding day is watching their vision become a reality. Whether they were most excited about the first look or the dance party, we love seeing everything come together. Typically, by the time we're photographing the wedding we've already spent some time with the couple capturing their engagement photos and helping to plan the experience. We love showing up and having them feel comfortable with us. Then they are able to focus on the day and know we're capturing it. We also love taking the time for portraits at sunset or some other time. It's really nice for the couple to have some time alone together exploring the landscape of their wedding venue and that moment is usually really inspiring for us."
How would you describe your style of photography?
"Our photography is experiential and adventurous. We focus on capturing the experience of the wedding day. For most of our couples that also means capturing the adventure. We like to tell the story of the people, moments and emotions as well as the dramatic landscapes our couples choose to get married in. We love making our couples comfortable so that they can just be themselves!"
